Coming This Summer: Jump Start Academy!
Get ready for the new school year with our Jump Start Academy, a summer school program designed to give students entering grades K-6 a running start.
The academy will run for two weeks, from August 4-8 and August 11-15.
We are currently finalizing the details and will have more information for you by this summer. A sign-up form will be sent out to all parents once the plans are complete. Stay tuned for an exciting opportunity for your student to sharpen their skills and get ready for the year ahead!
Congratulations to the 2025 Cheboygan Area Schools retirees. They were honored by the entire district today at a staff luncheon. Many great memories were shared from staff, family members and former students. CIS 5th graders went to the Besser Musuem in Alpena today. Students enjoyed viewing artifacts of Art, history, and science.

Today during their lunch break our high school students got to brush up on their summer yard games with an indoor field day! They played corn hole, badminton, and pickleball.

Great Student/Parent meeting tonight at the Industrial Arts Institute! And, it's not to late to sign up for Summer Camps! You can earn up $300 per week for attending some of these Instructional Camps...for example, there are 5 open seats for the Building and Trades Camp, which starts soon and lasts 6 weeks!







Students at CIS had a great time during Field Day today. Thank you to the staff for all of the hard work organizing today's events. And a big thank you to all the parent volunteers for helping.









Mr. Romero and his 6th grade band took advantage of the beautiful weather we have had this week. It's great to see our staff utilizing the courtyard for educational purposes.

Reminder, anyone interested in playing football in the fall should attend the Parent/Player meeting tonight, Wednesday, @ 6:30, in the HS Auditorium. We will introduce coaches and discuss summer fitness center workouts, 7-on-7, and our overnight camp plans.

CAS School Board approves HB 4345 tonight at a Special Board meeting, taking advantage of the state forgiveness plan and waiving the need to make up the eight Ice Storm - 2025 days at the end of this school year.
