Why Cheboygan Area Schools?

The Cheboygan Area School District encompasses one K-2 Elementary School, a 3-5 Intermediate School, a Middle School with 6-7, an 8-12 High School, an 8-12 Alternative High School, and a Virtual 7-12 School. Cheboygan employs over 200 staff members, which includes administrators, teachers, secretaries, paraprofessionals, food service workers, custodial/maintenance workers and bus drivers. Our staff currently serves approximately 1,500 students. Cheboygan is located 15 Miles East of Mackinaw City along the Cheboygan River and on the coast of Lake Huron. Cheboygan is also surrounded by many inland lakes. Residents of the 260 square mile district have easy access to numerous trails, as well as recreational opportunities. Its close proximity to beautiful Lake Huron is an added benefit to Cheboygan residents.
