Good Sunday Evening,

Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a chance to recharge and refresh over winter break. As a reminder, school resumes tomorrow, January 6th, and we are excited to return to our academic pursuits. Please be aware that Final Exam dates and the end of the Second Semester are approaching rapidly. There will be half days for students on January 16th and 17th for high school Final Exams and the end of the Second Semester. If you have any outstanding assignments or tests to complete before the semester concludes, please check with your teachers this week to ensure that all your work is submitted promptly, allowing you to finish the quarter strong and positively affect your final grades—this is especially critical for high school students.

I must express my appreciation for the impressive progress made in the first half of this school year. There is a renewed sense of positivity and enthusiasm within our school community. School culture—the feeling one experiences upon entering our buildings—plays a significant role in shaping this environment. I am encouraged by the sight of happy, engaged students transitioning to classes and the welcoming atmosphere created by our office staff. For those interested in exploring the concept of School Culture further, I recommend “Cultures Built to Last: Systemic PLCs at Work” by Rick DuFour and Michael Fullan, which emphasizes that culture encompasses what we observe, feel, and hear within our schools. Remember, our school culture is shaped by each person's interactions, reinforcing the importance of our collective efforts. Keep up the outstanding work, as your contributions are truly recognized and appreciated.
