Congratulation Cheboygan High School students, staff, teachers and administrators! The HS was recently recognized by US News as one of the BEST high schools in the country. US News has ranked 6,545 schools throughout the country, using a variety of metrics, and Cheboygan HS was ranked 224, out of 6,545 schools. Excellent Work and Go Chiefs!

Save the date: Summer Safety Day is May 29th. This is a fun family event promoting safety and summer fun!

FYI - We will be setting up a CAS School District table at the Cheboygan Business Expo from 3-8, next Thursday at the Ice Hockey arena. Please stop by our table to learn more about CAS and/or ask questions! Also, the we will need student volunteers for set up on Tuesday after school at the Hockey arena, (if any students are looking for Community Service hours, this would be a perfect opportunity). We will also need students at 10am on Friday to help with takedown too. Please contact me directly, via email, if you can help or have questions. SB

Babysitter Training Available...

EMC Mtg Clarification - Sophomore/10th grade parents/students that are enrolled in EMC program should attend the 6pm meeting tonight to learn about next steps. In addition, any 9th or 10th grade parent/student that is interested in learning more about the EMC program and how to enroll are encouraged to attend as well; 6pm tonight in the HS auditorium.

Reminder, there will be a sophomore EMC meeting for those sophomore parents and students that have signed up for the first EMC cohort. We will discuss summer plans and how to start your pathway to success! We will meet at 6pm in the HS auditorium tomorrow night.

A big "Thank You" to our Book Study Group meeting this afternoon. I was extremely impressed with the conversation and discussion about the different ways that we as educators can improve and increase student motivation. Good Stuff...teachers teaching teachers!

Reminder, school resumes on Tuesday, April 2nd. I hope you had a good/relaxing spring break and ready to return to school!

After Spring Break, there will be a mandatory EMC Parent/Student meeting for those sophomore students that have signed up for the new EMC program. We will discuss summer classes, introduce the new EMC coordinator, and answer any questions you may have on Thursday, April 4th, in the HS auditorium! Go Chiefs!

After our March Madness assembly and Battle of the Books championship, our students had an opportunity to attend an open gym, karaoke, arts/crafts, and/or board games session for their incentive.

Since it was too close to call on the scoreboard, we will just leave it at that. The championship between the staff and students for the Battle of the Books was an instant classic. Congratulations to everyone that participated.

A great afternoon of learning and PD work today for our teachers and staff. A variety of options coupled with some math curriculum work too. Stay Green and Growing Cheboygan...Go Chiefs!
