A beautiful, snowy blanket covered the campus of Cheboygan Area Schools (Cheboygan High School and Cheboygan Intermediate/Middle School) this morning.





Mr. Bury's 7th Grade PE class enjoys the fresh snow snowshoeing as the storm approaches!





7th Grade girls basketball practice is canceled today due to weather.

Ski Club for this evening has been cancelled. All money will be transferred to the next time your student skis. Students still must complete a white slip with their name and the word "carry over" written across it to sign up for the 1/26 ski date.

Here at CIS, it's not just adults helping students, but it's also adults helping adults.


There was so much snow we had to use our snowshoes to get into work today! We hope you all enjoy your day off. Go outside and have some fun!

During their afternoon recess, some of our fifth grade students took advantage of the snow and created snow angels and started to build a snowman.





Our third and fourth grade students had the opportunity to interact with our Youth Advisory Council and Thunder Bay during lunch today. They had the chance to dance to the tune of the "Cha Cha Slide."






A little movement during lunch today for our 5th and 6th student's! The Youth Advisory Committee for ThunderBay come in once a month and give students an opportunity to earn "healthy bucks" by choosing a healthy lunch option and or engaging in physical activity!








To the Parents of Cheboygan Area Schools,
As part of our Community Outreach initiative, we are offering a Parenting Program entitled “Love & Logic” to those parents who would like to learn practical skills when dealing with difficult situations with your child and/or children, such as:
The Two Rules of Love and Logic
Delayed or Anticipatory Consequences
Using empathy and Love & Logic one-liners to neutralize arguing
How and where to get more information to help you as a Parent
The program will be held on Wednesday nights and will start on February 2nd and run through Wednesday, March 13th. The time will be 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and the location will be the Cheboygan Middle School Cafeteria. This opportunity to Learn is open to ALL K-12 parents.
*** Dinner and Childcare WILL be provided for ages 3 and Up! ***
