Welcome Back!

Welcome Back, Students!

Well, summer is officially coming to an end, and it is time to welcome our students back to Cheboygan Area Schools tomorrow, Tuesday, September 8th!

There is something special about the first day of a new school year. The hallways are full of energy, and there is a sense of excitement about what the year ahead might bring. Most importantly, our students are coming back!

What I love most about education is that every school year gives us a chance to start anew. The years that have passed are over. Some of them were great, and some were challenging, but this year is new, and it can be anything we hope or want it to be.

Every student who walks through our doors tomorrow brings with them a different story, different experiences, and different hopes for the year ahead. Some will be excited, and some may be nervous. Whatever they bring through those doors, we are excited to have them back, and they deserve and will get our very best efforts.

So, regardless of whether this is a student's first day of kindergarten, their first day at a new school, or their final first day as a senior, let's make it a great one! A year to remember.  Tomorrow, they will be greeted with a smile, encouraged, and reminded that this is where they belong and that we are glad to have them be a part of the CAS family.

Thank you to all of our teachers, administrators, support staff, custodians, transportation staff, food service staff, and everyone else who has worked hard to prepare our schools for the return of our students. Your work matters, and because of you, our students have a place where they can learn, grow, feel safe, and belong.

So, welcome back, Chiefs! Let's make this the best school year yet.

Go Chiefs!
